Installation Information For Access Tile’s Surface Applied ADA Tiles
These tiles are lightweight, will fit in any space, are extremely easy to handle, and will install or replace within a few minutes. Their Surface Applied tiles can be adapted to any existing concrete surface using a combination of surface adhesive, anchors, and stainless-steel pins.

Installation Instructions Step by Step:
- Place the tile on the assigned location then trace the perimeter using a thin permanent marker.
- Set the tile aside. Using a 4-inch diamond cup grinder, scour the concrete within the marked location and in correspondence with the location where adhesive is needed on the backside of the tile.
- Clear up the dust with a leaf blower then clean the back of the tile and concrete with a wet rag soaked in acetone.
- Apply surface applied adhesive to the back of the tile as shown on the tile.
The first bead should be thin and applied half-an-inch from the perimeter edge and a second thicker bead 1-inch inside the first. - Set the tile correctly to the curb ramp and press down firmly.
- While stepping down on either side of the pre-made hole, drill down 3-inches into the concrete slab using a hammer drill and the recommended 3-quarter inch diameter carbide drill bit.
- Continue to apply pressure, remove the dust and any adhesive from surfaces, and carefully set the color-matched Axium® Fasteners with a plastic-tipped hammer.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 while working across the tile until the pre-made fastener locations are done. - Clear the perimeter of the tile and the immediate surrounding concrete with acetone. Make sure to remove any adhesive that has leaked or escaped from beneath the tile. Apply and smooth the sealant around the perimeter of the tile.

Dome spacing meets ADA Federal and State requirements at 2.35-inches.
Truncated dome size and spacing requirements for ADA Federal and State requirements should be 0.45-inches on the top and 0.9-Inches on the bottom diameters.
Must fully comply with all ADA and OSHA requirements for surface height transitions to prevent top risks.
There must be consistent dome spacing when the tiles are adjoined side-by-side or end-to-end.
