Cast in Place Truncated Domes are the ideal ADA-Compliant tactile warning surfacing. These raised dome panels are placed in wet-set concrete and are designed to aid visually impaired persons by providing auditory and underfoot feedback. The truncated domes indicate that there is either a potentially hazardous elevation change, or vehicle traffic nearby. The domes are commonly detected when stepped on or when encountered with a walking cane.
These dome tiles are ADA-compliant and are required in many places such as crosswalks, near escalator entrances, parking garage landings, and on transit platforms where there is an elevated drop-off hazard.
